MSU Great Falls and University of Great Falls are joining forces on October 23, 2010 to present an event at the UGF Absolon Lounge in the Student Center. We're making chili to serve between 11:00 am and 2:00 pm, and have received lots of donations from local businesses to add to the menu. We will present speakers from the community to tell their story of how volunteerism help them. I'm told we should have tissues available for the tears that will flow when folks hear how their service impacts people. Of course, the desired outcome is that students and others will be motivated to give some of even more of their time to the community. MSU Great Falls is a two-year campus, with service learning a large part of what AmeriCorps offers. We thought we could make a difference by expaning the perspective of volunteerism.
