College Students Meeting Critical Community Needs
Summer Camp by Jamie Diehl

Thanks to my AmeriCorps position at Hopa Mountain, I was given the opportunity to plan and facilitate three summer camps this summer. These camps were offered to teens free of charge, to ensure everyone who wanted to go, was able to. The camps were an amazing experience for me, as I had never been able to go to summer camp as a child. It was great to see the teens bond over the week, to peers that they had never met before; and to witness their transition into young leaders.
