Montana Campus Corps:
College Students Meeting Critical Community Needs
Holiday Season by Alysa Brown

Working at the Women's Resource Center I had the oppritunity of giving back to my community. Until Thanksgiving or Christmas came around I did not realize how many people are in need of the little things. Growing up I was not the kid that got everything, my family was one of the poorest familes in our community and getting the oppritunity to be able to give back to those that are in need was one of the greatest feelings ever! I did not realize how many under priviledged kids there are in the Beaverhead County until Thanksgiving and Christmas came around. Families coming into our Center asking for food or clothes to help provide for thier familes. Being able to provied just the basic things such as boxed dinners or snowboots for a little kid, gave me a sense of accomplishment because when I was that age I was giving those same things. Holdiay seasons bring out the true character of those and for me being able to help those in need just shows, what goes around comes around.
