Montana Campus Corps:
College Students Meeting Critical Community Needs
The Best Career by Bridgette Hoenke

I began my semester student teaching in a first grade class and I immediately fell in love with the school and students. These students helped me become a better teacher every day. I was fortunate to have a cooperating teacher that allowed me to do an extreme amount of the teaching. As a result, I learned a great deal and the students taught me more than I ever imagined. I witnessed a variety of learning needs and students performing at different levels. I began developing different strategies to target all the students and their learning needs. This experience was truly rewarding and I know I chose the right career. The students teach me more and give me more than I ever expected.
