Montana Campus Corps:
College Students Meeting Critical Community Needs
Student Teaching by Heather Croff

When I was at Linderman Elementary school I worked with many children from all different backgrounds in life. It was fascinating to me to watch these children come together in a class and work together. If students did not have any school supplies the teacher would let them borrow hers until they were able to get their own. It was nice to see all the students getting along, and treating each other with respect. After the students got to know me they trusted me to be their student teacher. In the end they did not want me to leave. It was hard saying good bye to them after being with them for about three months. The staff was all nice and enjoyed the extra help I was able to offer them. Now I know that I can provide a safe and comfortable classroom for my students.
