Great Story by Sophie Mumford
During my service at one of the local middle schools I was paired with a small group of 7th grade girls who were struggling in their current math classrooms. One of the girls is dyslexic, which pretty severely impedes her ability to succeed in the classroom, but this young lady really connected to me in the small group setting we had established and her math performance began to consistently improve. This shows that, even though there have been a multitude of resources available for her through her education so far, it sometimes just takes a specific or different interaction for someone's educational performance to improve.
